 There is too much work left to be done in the regular season.

 Besides, the San Antonio Spurs are just a half-game back, and
five other teams are within three games of the Lakers in a Western
Conference that has eight teams playing .600 basketball.  

 而且馬刺跟湖人只有半場勝差，其他五支球隊跟湖人勝差也在三場內，
這就是有八支勝率超過六成的可怕西區。  

 "We don't feel as though we've arrived or as though our work
is done," LA's Derek Fisher said Monday. "We still feel as though we
have a lot to continue to prove, more so to ourselves than people outside
of our team."   

 "我們並不覺得我們已經抵達目標或是認為工作完成了，" 星期一的時候

 The Lakers have won eight straight games, their longest
winning streak since winning 11 in a row during the 2003-04 season.

 They are 39-17, which is the third-best record in the NBA.

 They have 26 games left before the playoffs, 16 at home,
including tonight's game against the young and talented Portland Trail
Blazers at Staples Center.

 Portland defeated the Lakers two out of three last season,
the only loss coming in overtime in a game when Kobe Bryant scored 65
points.   

 波特蘭人上個賽季中的三次交手中擊敗了湖人兩次，唯一一場的失利也將
戰線拉長到了延長賽，更是KOBE浴血奮戰的成果，他得了65分。  


 "I don't think we're there," Fisher said. "You could lose
two games and be in the fifth spot (in the West) and then everybody is
questioning whether or not you might even make the playoffs, so that's
how quickly things change. What we've done well at this season is kind
of taking it one week or one step at a time and that's worked for us."

 Nothing seems to slow the Lakers down, not even injuries.
The latest hit was taken by forward Vladimir Radmanovic, who got an MRI
Monday that showed he has a strained right calf muscle. Radmanovic, who was
injured Saturday night against the Clippers and missed Sunday night's game in
Seattle, is listed as day-to-day.  

 看起來沒有任何事情能讓湖人慢下來，即使是可怕的傷病。

 The loss of Andrew Bynum to a left kneecap injury hasn't
slowed the Lakers, either.
Bynum said there wasn't much swelling left in the knee, that he's walking
"normally" and that he worked on his strength and balance Monday.
He is running in the swimming pool.   

就算是安豬拜努的左腳膝蓋受傷也沒有讓湖人放慢腳步。
拜努說左膝的腫脹已經小很多了，他行走無誤"正常"，同時星期一的時候他就開始他的

 When Bynum was first injured, the Lakers said he'd be out a
minimum of eight weeks. But there now is no timetable for his return,
though he's not expected back until some time later in March.
"There's no pressure on me to come back," Bynum said. "I definitely want to
get back 100 percent. That's what I plan to do, however long it takes. I
still that I could make the eight-week deadline, but I'm not going to force
it."  

當拜努受傷的時候，湖人說他可能得離開最少八個禮拜。但是現在他回來的時間

 In his absence, the Lakers have Pau Gasol, who has been a
force at center since the Lakers acquired him Feb. 1 from Memphis.
Then there has been the leadership from Bryant, Fisher and Lamar Odom that
has pushed the Lakers in the right direction.
"Kobe, Lamar, Fish are doing a good job leading this team, doing the right
thing, bringing Pau into this offense and including him," Lakers coach Phil
Jackson said. "Our bench is giving us support. I think they know the
challenge is strained. We've got some very veteran teams in this conference.

together as a group this morning and talked about some of those types of
things, about mentally being prepared and physically, also."
The Lakers play five games in the next eight days -- with the toughest foe,
at least record-wise, the Dallas Mavericks.

 After that, the Lakers' roughest stretch will come next month
, when they play at New Orleans, Houston, Dallas and Utah, all teams
jockeying for playoff position.
"Ever since I came in the league, the Lakers have always had a bull's eye on
their head," Odom said. "Of course with Kobe and now Pau, I guess that bull's
eye got even bigger."   

  接下來他們還要面臨一個岐嶇困難的對戰組合，下個月的頭幾個對手是紐奧良
黃蜂，休士頓少了引擎的火箭，又是小牛，可怕的阿爵，每一個現在在西區都有著一席
季後賽門票。
"從我到聯盟的那一天，湖人就一直眾人的眼中釘，"歐老二說，"當然，KOBE
加上現在的炮，更多人虎視眈眈的想擊敗湖人了。"
