Lakers' Lamar Odom is comfortable with his role

老二對繼續擔任第六人感覺相當良好

His frame of mind is so different this season from the start of training camp
last season, when Lamar Odom was disturbed by the news that he wouldn't be
starting anymore.

Now, Odom is at peace with his station on the Lakers, with his role as the
team's sixth man.

"It would be stupid of me to kind of even fool with that," Odom said.

去年以為禪師是撞到頭才會叫他去打第六人的老二，對於今年續任頭號替補大將的角色

自我感覺良好。

So you really don't mind being the sixth man again this season?

"I wouldn't change it," Odom said. "We won a championship. I'll keep it the
same."

Odom resumed his role when the Lakers played the Golden State Warriors on
Wednesday night in an exhibition game at the Honda Center.

老二：「絕對不會，開玩笑，我們可是這樣拿下總冠軍的耶，我要繼續保持下去！」

He checked in with 7:41 left in the first quarter for Pau Gasol, putting him
alongside Andrew Bynum.

Odom's first shot was a three-pointer that he missed.

He tipped in a shot with his left hand just before the first quarter ended,
part of his line of six points, seven rebounds, two assists and two blocked
shots.

Odom said he was in great shape and has had a great training camp, all part
of his preparing to help the Lakers defend their NBA championship and being
ready to come off the bench yet again.

老二覺得自己目前狀況不錯，訓練營中狀態也很好，正努力準備捍衛冠軍戒與再度從板

On the bus ride to Anaheim from the team's practice facility in El Segundo on
Wednesday, Odom said, all the players sat in the same seats they sat in last
year.

Odom sat between Adam Morrison and Josh Powell on the bus ride over. Luke
Walton was toward his right.

"If we didn't want to change that, why change the lineup?" Odom said. "[Why
change] how we play and the style we play?"

老二：「假設我們連位置都不想換，那何苦要改變上場順序呢?何苦要改變我們的比賽方

式與風格呢?」

That answer made someone ask Odom if NBA players are superstitious, as some
baseball players tend to be.

"Everybody has their own ways, but there are some things as a team that you
just automatically do," Odom said. "We just fall in line. Like seats on a
plane, the bus, our own routines before practice, seats in the locker room
kind of stay the same."

這樣的回答讓人忍不住想問，NBA球員也和棒球選手一樣許多迷信嗎？

老二：「每個人都有自己的做法，但是在球隊中有些事情就是這麼自然；當我們在飛機

或巴士上，練習前我們各自的習慣動作，甚至是在休息室中的座位，我們就是會自然而

然地每次都大同小異。」

Last season, the Lakers said, "One, two, three, ring!" in the team huddle
before the start of every game.

Will that stay the same too?

"Yeah, it'll stay the same," Odom said. "That's our goal."

So, Odom said, he's not worried about being the sixth man.

He just wants to do what's right for the team.

"I'm comfortable with my position," Odom said. "I still play enough minutes.
I get those minutes when they count. I don't have no problem with it. I've
found my niche, my lane as far as my game and what this team needs me to do."

那上個球季，每場球賽前湖人的口號是：「One, two, three, ring!」今年也會一樣囉?

老二：「這是一定要的啦，我們的目標就是二連霸！」

老二：「我對於替補的位置感到很蘇胡，我仍有足夠的上場時間，我感覺現在是適得其所

我會做好球隊要我做的每件事！」

雖然Odom是第六人，但是在我心中，他永遠是湖人的老二。(Gasol是第二人，阿泰是二頭

目XD)
