First double-double doesn’t faze Mbenga

DJ Mbenga has scored in double figures before. Not often, but he did have 10
points against Minnesota last season. 

DJ 不是沒拿過雙位數啦，只是次數真的很少，他上季有場對灰狼的比賽也拿了10分。


The Lakers reserve center also has had a more than handful of rebounds in a
game during his five-year career, pulling down seven against Milwaukee two
seasons ago. But never has he been able to put the two components together
until Sunday.

湖人隊也很少有他對於籃板貢獻的紀錄，
他在兩年前一場對密爾瓦基公鹿的比賽是曾經抓過7個籃板，
但是他從來沒有拿過雙十，直到這個週日之前。


Given nearly 30 minutes of play, Mbenga posted his first career double-double
with 10 points and 12 rebounds in the Lakers’ 104-88 victory against New
Orleans. He also blocked four shots and stole the ball once.

在三十分鐘左右的上場時間內，DJ拿到了生涯第一次的雙十，10分12板幫助湖人以104-88
擊敗紐澳良黃蜂。他還送出4個火鍋和外帶一次抄截。


Yet, the quiet 7-footer took it all instride.

嘛，他幾乎幹了一個七呎大個該做的所有事。


“It is just hard work,” he said. “As a basketball player you always want
  show what you can do on the court.”

「這只是努力的成果，」他說，
「作為一個籃球員你總是想展現自己在場上能做些什麼。」


Mbenga is getting the opportunity to show off his skills because Andrew Bynum
(elbow) and Pau Gasol (hamstring) have been sidelined because of injuries.
Mbenga’s minutes will decrease when the two post players return. Until then,
he hopes to make the most of his minutes.

DJ會有這麼多的上場時間主要也是因為湖人的Twin Towers，
小拜(手肘)和炮哥(肌肉拉傷)都因傷高掛免戰牌，
而這些時間想當然爾會在他們回歸後減少。
到那個時候，DJ希望他可以分到更多上場的時間。


“It makes me feel good,” he said. “It’s my job.

「(能上場打球)讓我感覺很棒，」他說，「這就是我的工作。」


“It is challenging as a basketball player, but you definitely want to
  remember everything you can.”

「(得到上場時間)對一個籃球員來說當然是很大的鼓勵，
  不過你一定得牢牢記住(完成)場上那些你能做到的事情。」
