Phil Jackson kept it simple when asked what it would take for his Lakers to
beat Portland in their building after eight straight losses: “Play hard.”

He expanded his explanation to include execution and the like, but the thesis
is that L.A. must find a way to match the high level of energy that the
Blazers always bring when seeing purple and gold in Oregon. In other words,
Portland generally treats regular season games against the Lakers like most
teams treat playoff games, and L.A. will have to develop a similar mindset to
be successful.

The Lakers will, however, be without Pau Gasol, who traveled with the team
but will not play on Friday*. Jackson said that Gasol is a “maybe” for
Sunday’s game against Milwaukee, and if not suggested that he’d likely be
ready to go on time for the team’s trip to Texas in the middle of the week
(first San Antonio, then Dallas).
週五對上拓荒者耶穌會一起去波特蘭，但是不會上場。禮拜天對公鹿隊狀況好的話有可能

Jackson detailed why L.A. will miss Gasol against the Blazers right from the
tip: because Portland often prefers to focus its defense on Kobe Bryant,
coming at him from a variety of angles and aiming to force other Lakers to
beat them (check the video for details), the Lakers particularly miss having
their second-best offensive option. Jackson will look to Lamar Odom and
Andrew Bynum to pick up the Spaniard’s slack, as they did against Houston on
Tuesday.
禪師接著說，對上拓荒者，湖人尤其需要耶穌在場上。
因為每每拓荒者都會包夾Kobe，瞬間Kobe變成無敵拖怪機，使得場上必須要有
其他人能跳出來攻擊，而除了Kobe以外第二順位就是耶穌了。
現在耶穌不在，禪師期待霸男和喇嘛可以再拿出週二對火箭那樣的表現，補上這個大缺。

Finally, Jackson confirmed that Luke Walton went through a full practice,
though the workout was somewhat limited. The forward is on track to resume
full-speed practices when the team returns from Portland, though Jackson has
yet to speculate on when he could return to game action.
最後關於Luke，禪師說他今天有參加了全部的練習，不過因為這周比賽太多所以練習量
不像往常那麼重，週五打完，訓練量回到常規後會再試試看，而歸隊的時間還說不準。
