The agent for Andrew Bynum was caught off-guard like the rest of the Lakers
world by the New York Post story speculating that the Lakers are interested
in sending the young center to Toronto for Chris Bosh.
“I had no idea,” said agent David Lee on Monday. “I wish he (the reporter)
had called me. I’m in New York.”
Lee said any “talks” between the teams would be a bit difficult considering
Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak currently is out of the country.

Ron Artest didn’t have a lot to say late Sunday night about a possible
setback in his recovery from a concussion. And nearly no one knows about the
plantar fascia problem he has been dealing with in his right foot for weeks.
The net effect is that Artest is far from full speed or strength right now,
so it’s pretty hard for the Lakers to be really clicking without his
presence and with Pau Gasol not playing. On the flip side, Andrew Bynum is
perking up again with Gasol out … and Bynum was apparently far more
motivated by facing Andrew Bogut on Sunday night than the prospect of being
traded for Chris Bosh.
About the New York Post’s trade speculation involving Bosh, Bynum said: “I
don’t really care. … It’s not the first time it’s happened to me,
especially.”
