After a first half in which they looked disinterested and soft, the Lakers
came out in the second half of their showdown with the Denver Nuggets on
Sunday with the intensity and aggression they often lack.
經過上半場的軟趴趴表現後，下半場湖人們踏出更衣室整個氣勢都不一樣了，
帶著積極的態度和滿出來的幹勁，打算和金塊一決雌雄。

"A big win," Ron Artest called it after doing all the things he was brought
here to do in the Lakers' 95-89 win after two earlier losses to the Nuggets,
"but we haven't proved anything yet."
賽後大功臣泰哥說「大勝利！！！」，泰哥完成了所有大家期待他來湖人該做的事情。
「不過其實贏了這場也沒有證明什麼。」

Actually, they did. They proved they could respond the way they needed to to
get back in this one, even as Kobe Bryant continued the struggle to get his
shooting rhythm back. He managed just 14 points on 3-of-17 shooting but 
dished out a dozen assists as Denver double-teamed him all day.

Lamar Odom stepped up to fill the offensive void left by Bryant, scoring nine
of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and grabbing 12 rebounds to help the
Lakers overcome an 11-point third-quarter deficit. And Artest added 17
points, tied a season high with six steals and harassed Carmelo Anthony until
Anthony eliminated himself with an offensive foul with 2:13 left.

在第四節就拿下了9分，整場得20分，12個籃板，幫助湖人脫離落後11分的頹勢。
泰哥拿下17分以及本季個人最高6抄截，並且使出渾身解數纏著甜瓜不放，
直到在最後兩分鐘的時候終於逼得甜瓜以進攻犯規切果肉自殺（誤）。

And the Lakers may want to thank the Nuggets' trash-talking for their
second-half resurgence.

But Jackson understood why: "It did look like we were playing in slow
motion," with the Nuggets grabbing every long rebound while converting 14
Lakers first-half turnovers into 20 points.

眼睜睜看著金塊對抓走一個又一個的籃板，
把湖人上半場14個失誤，「Magic!」，變成了20分。

"Retaliation is not the answer," Jackson said. "Firmness and going away from
pressure is."

Pau Gasol, who had 15 points and 14 rebounds, wasn't impressed with the
chatty Nuggets' chippy nature.
姊姊拿到了15分並抓下14籃板，很不爽金塊球員廢話多的天性。

"They talk too much," he said. "I don't pay attention to things that don't
make sense. I don't do that. ... They try to do it their way, we try to do it
our way."

But the way the Lakers did it the second half was just how the Nuggets did it
the first, with defensive pressure that forced turnovers and bad shots. The
Lakers scored 14 points on Denver's 12 second-half turnovers.
不過其實下半場湖人的策略和上半場雞塊（再誤）的策略大致是一樣的
－－在防守層面施加壓力，導致對手失誤和勉強出手。
湖人在下半場把金塊12個失誤變成了14分。

Led by Artest's one-on-one work on Anthony, who scored a game-high 21 points
but needed 19 shots (hitting just seven) to do so, the Lakers limited
Denver's second-half production to 37 points and 31.6 percent shooting.
Anthony fouled out with the Nuggets down by four.
從阿泰對甜瓜那無微不至的防守開始，甜瓜拿下了全隊最高21分，但其實投了19僅中7。
其他湖人隊員們一起對對手施加壓力，讓下半場金塊只拿下37分，命中率僅僅31.6%。
而阿泰也成功在金塊仍落後4分時把甜瓜趕下場。

"They picked up the pressure on us and started a wrestling match with the
ball," Denver coach George Karl said. "We didn't have the perseverance to
pass it or penetrate."

Bryant, posting up and passing out, did.

"It was nice to be in somewhat of a pressure-cooker," Bryant said. "It's been
two years now where we've beaten them in the postseason, so I'm sure they're
fed up. They played with a lot of energy and intensity, and we had to step up
against them. It was a playoff type of intensity."
