Another hand injury for the Lakers? Indeed

Almost half the Lakers' lineup has had some sort of hand injury this season,
Ron Artest the latest to emerge from the trainer's room with a bandaged
digit.
Artest has a sprained left thumb, an injury sustained in the third quarter of
Thursday's game against Miami. Artest said he did not remember a specific
play, but felt pain in the thumb early in the quarter. He will play Friday
against Charlotte.

Other Lakers hand injuries have included Kobe Bryant's broken right index
finger, Shannon Brown's sprained right thumb and Jordan Farmar's sprained
ligament in his left hand. Lamar Odom has also dealt with a finger injury.

"It seems to be a hand-injury year," Lakers Coach Phil Jackson said Friday.
