New looks and new attitudes on display

The Lakers that showed up to practice didn’t look or act like the team that
lost to Orlando on Sunday. There was a new attitude and look about them.

Starting off, Sasha Vujacic was back on the court, practicing with the team
for the first time in nearly three weeks. Phil Jackson said Vujacic, who has
been sidelined for 18 days because of a shoulder injury, likely could play in
Tuesday’s home game against Toronto.

“We basically had a practice to get Sasha going today and to have him get a
little bit of a run and get back and feel it,” Jackson said. “He looks OK.
His shot’s a little short still and he’s still working through that.”

Then there was Kobe Bryant, who displayed a vastly different attitude Monday.
He went from Sunday’s upbeat mood to a more “edgy” mode a day after the
Lakers suffered their first three-game losing streak since January 2008.

“I think we’re upset, think we’re a little edgy. I think its good for us,”
 Bryant said, giving short, clipped answers.

三連敗後，Kobe的態度從禮拜天的「輕鬆(upbea)」轉變為禮拜一的「急切(edgy)」。

Kobe：「我想我們正感到坐立難安，有點急躁，我想這樣對我們來說是好的。」

Bryant’s mood was a 180-degree turn from Sunday, when he was appeared
pleased with how the Lakers played. He said he had liked the effort he saw
from his teammates, saying that it was going to be difficult for teams “to
beat us four games in a series.”

Maybe his mood changed after watching game film. Or maybe the long plane ride
gave him some perspective on the Lakers’ lack of ball movement against the
Magic. Whatever it was, Bryant wasn’t smiling after practice.

He was asked if his stomach was feeling better a day after it forced him to
miss the team bus and he replied, “I’m getting a stomach virus now with all
these questions.”

Lastly, there was Ron Artest’s new, new ‘do. He was sporting a shaved look
a day after debuting a yellow and purple dye job in Orlando.

The Lakers small forward got rid of the blond hair but has to live with those
purple inscriptions in three languages that dyed his head as well as his hair.

He said shaving his head had nothing to do with the loss or his poor defense
on Orlando’s Vince Carter, who burned him for 25 points.

Luckily Derek Fisher was his same steady self who quieted all those Chicken
Littles out there with some sage advice about the Lakers’ recent struggles.

“There’s been a lot of rain in L.A., but it’s not our fault,” Fisher
said. “The sky is not falling.”

漁夫還是維持一貫的態度，他用一句睿智的發言回應湖人近期的低潮，讓這群嘰嘰喳喳

的記者安靜下來：「最近洛杉磯下了不少雨，但是這並不是我們的錯，天也還沒塌下來

。」
