EL SEGUNDO - After fighting a losing battle with persistent swelling in his
injured right knee for the better part of the first three rounds of the
playoffs, Lakers center Andrew Bynum underwent a procedure to have the fluid
drained from it Monday.
耐不住那潮到可以上雜誌的右膝，

Bynum在週一總算決定不要再當汁液型男。

If it works as it did for Kobe Bryant earlier in the postseason, then Bynum
could have greater mobility and explosiveness than he has displayed so far.
Bynum has a small tear of the meniscus in his knee, which requires surgery at
season's end.

The 7-foot Bynum has delayed surgery in order to aid the Lakers in their
chase for a second consecutive NBA championship.

"It was getting worse, the swelling wasn't leaving, so we had to do it," he
said. "I was doing the treatment, but it wasn't getting any better. I think
it's supposed to be pretty much fine."

Bynum said he was pain free, but doesn't plan to practice with his teammates
today. He will give it a try Wednesday and expects to be sound enough to play
in Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics on Thursday at Staples
Center.

He averaged a career-high 15 points plus 8.3 rebounds in 30 minutes during
the regular season, but his averages have dipped to 9.1 points and
7.7rebounds in 24 minutes during the playoffs. The tear was discovered in
mid-April.

rebounds in the first game and 14 points and nine rebounds in the second.
Bryant didn't play in the second game because of an ankle injury.
