[外電] Kobe Taking Nothing For Granted

One of the first things people want to know when they see Los Angles Lakers
star Kobe Bryant these days is what it felt like to win Game 7 of the NBA
finals on his home court against the Boston Celtics.He recently attempted to
answer that guestion while talking to teammate Derek Fisher,who was sitting
in for Jim Rome on Rome is Burning.

這幾天，每當人們遇見Los Angles Lakers的球星Kobe Bryant時，總是很想知道他對於
總冠軍第7戰在主場擊敗Boston Celtics是什麼感覺。在由隊友Derek Fisher幫Jim Rome
帶班的Rome is Burning節目中，他嘗試回答這個問題。

"You can't explain it...you can't even put it into words,"admitted Bryant,
a five-time NBA champion. "I run into people over the summer time and they
always ask me what it felt like.You can't find the words to describe the
level of excitement and enjoyment of winning it at home...against the
Celtics."

"這很難形容...甚至難以用言語表達，"五屆NBA冠軍－Bryant坦言，"整個夏天我遇到的
人都在問說是怎樣的感覺。你找不到字去形容，在主場擊敗Celtics那種興奮與喜悅
的程度。"

Celtics head coach Doc Rivers recently said that Lakers hadn't really beaten
their starting lineup,as center Kendrick Perkins was injured and missed game
7.

Celtics的總教練Doc Rivers最近放話說Lakers並未真的擊敗他們的先發陣容，中鋒
Kendrick Perkins受傷並錯過了第七戰。

"I don't get caught up in the emotion of it,but the facts are just wrong,"
reponded Bryant."In 2008 we didn't have Drew(Bynum) or Trevor(Ariza),so in
that sense ,what happened in '08,that wasn't our starting five,either.just
on its face,it's not accurate."

"我不明白這句話中的情緒，但事實正好是相反的。"Bryant回應道。"我們在2008並沒有
Drew(Bynum)或Trevor(Ariza)。同理，在08年的時候也不是我們的先發陣容。就這
方面來說，這並不正確。"

Of course,Fisher had to get Kobe's take on the whole LeBron James"decision"
scenario.Despite the perceived rivalry between them, Bryant and James became
close while playing for Team USA and remain friends. With that in mind,Bryant
shied away from the criticism many have aimed at LeBron's camp for the
handling of his free agency.

當然，Fisher尋求Kobe對於LeBron James的選擇秀的看法。不論他們之間激烈的競爭行為
，Bryant和James在美國隊結識並成為朋友。對於許多針對LeBron如何行使自由球員資格
的批評，Bryant不願正面回應。

"I keep my opinion of it extermely simple,"said Bryant."what I mean by that
is,I know him,we played together on the Olympic team,he's a friend
so I'm happy for him. In terms of everything that came out of that from the
City of Cleveland and what have you, I don't take any part of that. I'm happy
for him, because he seems to be happy with his decision. I'm happy for
(Dwyane) Wade for the situation that they have and for Chris Bosh. Everything
else I leave for them to decide, but for me, personally, I'm happy for him."

"我的看法很簡單，"Bryant說。"我的意思是，我了解他，我們一起在奧運隊中打拼，
他是個朋友，所以我為他高興。就來自Cleveland和其他地方的疑問，我不多談。我為他

Bryant did go on to admit that he wouldn't have handled the situation in that
way, as evidenced by the quiet way in which he handled the three-year
extension he signed with the Lakers this summer.

是一種不言自喻的證明。


"My answer is no, but people will take that and ask what I feel about LeBron
doing that thing. They'll take it as a knock towards him, and it shouldn't be
that way. He's a different person than I am. I'm as stubborn as a mule, so it
cuts both ways."

LeBron's joining forces with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami has many
picking the HEAT as the favorites to win the championship next season. Bryant
understands that, but points out the fallacy of the argument, saying the
Lakers - the defending champs - are still the team to beat.

很多人都認為LeBron加盟有Dwyane Wade和Chris Bosh的Miami，會是下季奪冠的熱門。
Bryant了解這點，但他指出這爭論是荒謬的，衛冕軍Lakers才會是假想敵。


"We are. We are. Those are just facts. We won the championship, so until we
get dethroned we're the team to beat. If you're a kid in high school, looking
to see what they've been able to assemble, they've basically formed Voltron,
so if you're a kid and you're a fan and you're looking at that you're going
to (be impressed), and that's understandable.

"事實上，我們確實如此。我們奪得總冠軍，因此在下次失利前，我們還是假想敵。如
果你是高中生，看看是什麼最容易吸引目光，基本上他們會成立組織。所以如果你是
小孩、一個球迷並追求著驚人之舉，那是可理解的。


To be clear, though, Bryant is taking nothing for granted . . .in either
conference.

顯然的，Bryant無論在任何聯盟都未心存僥倖。


"You know, we know these teams. We know how great Boston is; we know the
potential that Orlando has. Dwight (Howard) is sitting back, recharging, and
working out, as well. You can't say that (Miami) is a clear cut in the East,
just as you can't say that we're a clear cut in the West. Are we the team to
beat? Yes. Does that mean we'll come out of the West? No, it doesn't, because
we have so much work to do between September and the end of the season."
