James Worthy: Lakers Are Team To Beat

裡面訪談主題很多，只挑鄉民感興趣的幾段......


On the Lakers:

“I may sound a little bias, but I still believe the Lakers are in the best
position to win a championship because it’s very difficult to build
 chemistry and have the nucleus and the Lakers already have that. The
additions of [Matt] Barnes, who is a physical player, they need that and
[Steve] Blake too who can help Derek Fisher out at the guard position. I
still think we are the team to beat, but you know Miami is very talented with
Wade, LeBron and Bosh but it takes time for them to build some harmonious
chemistry. I still think the Celtic, with some of the additions they have
made, could be up there again.”

關於湖人...

Worthy表示：雖然這麼說有點私心，但我還是相信湖人是最好的球隊。
            球隊最難的就是產生化學反應，以及穩固的球隊核心，但湖人全都有了。
            他們招來了Matt Barnes，一名身體對抗強悍的球員，這是球隊需要的，
            還有Steve Blake，他能幫助Fisher在控衛上的不足。
            我仍然認為我們(湖人)是難以擊敗的，但你知道熱火如今有了
            Wade、LBJ、Bosh，這群人才華洋溢，天賦異稟，
            但他們需要時間去建立彼此的默契及化學反應。

            我仍然看好塞爾提克，他們今夏做了補強，他們應該會和湖人會師總決賽。


On Kobe:

“I think from my perspective, and from what I hear on a daily basis, he has
always gotten the credit. There are Kobe haters, LeBron haters and Worthy
haters. There are always going to be haters out there, but from a former
player he is second to none right now in the league. He could have played in
the 80s with us, he has the same mentality. He is tough, disciplined and
committed and I don’t think there is anybody out there that is better than
him right now.”

關於Kobe...

Worthy表示：以我個人觀點，及每天所聽到的消息，Kobe總是可以得到讚譽。
            儘管有反科迷、反詹迷、甚至有反Worthy的球迷，但是從一名普通球員
            成長為聯盟首屈一指的巨星的過程當中，這種反對者總是會不可避免地
            出現。所以說Kobe有能力在80年代和我們打球，他有著堅毅的心態、強硬
            的作風、嚴謹的紀律和承諾。我想不出當今聯盟中還有誰能和他相提並論。


On Pau Gasol’s Importance:

“He is extremely important. I remember when Vlade Divac came and how
important he was in the international scope of things. Pau has definitely
become, not only extremely popular in America, but in his home country of
Spain it will be interesting to watch how Kobe will take a back seat to all
that.”

關於Gasol的重要性...

Worthy表示：Gasol對湖人極為重要，我還記得當初Divac來的時候，他也是名能在國際
            賽場上做很多事的球員。他不僅在美國受歡迎、在他的家鄉西班牙更是如
            此。所以常會在西班牙看到Kobe的風頭不如Gasol，這相當有趣。
