--Kupchak said he only spoke to Fisher's agent, Rob Pelinka, about trading
him to Houston. He indicated that the front office constantly weighed the
Lakers' need for point guard and Fisher's locker-room presence.

Because the Lakers didn't give up their core roster of Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol
and Andrew Bynum, Kupchak has increased expectations of the team. "If we can
get over the emotional toll, I think we will have the potential to be a
better team."

Kupchak on Gasol: "I have not spoken to Pau but I would expect him to be more

關於選秀權

The pick L.A. sent to Cleveland is lottery protected for the 2012 draft; in
other words, if the Lakers miss the playoffs this season, they’d keep their
pick in 2012, and Cleveland would get L.A.’s 2014 pick. Furthermore, the
Lakers agreed to swap a lottery protected first round pick in 2013 with
Cleveland for either the Cavs’ pick, Miami’s 2013 pick or Sacramento’s
2013 pick, all owned by the Cavs, at Cleveland’s discretion. In short, if
L.A.’s pick is better (lower) than that of any of those three teams, the
Cavs can swap with the Lakers.

湖人送給騎士的是選透的保護選秀權，也就是說，如果湖人今年沒進季後賽，
那湖人可以把選秀權留住，然後Cavs可以拿到湖人2014的首輪選秀權。

另外，湖人也同意和騎士互換2013年的首輪，而且騎士還擁有2013年國王和熱火的
選秀互換權。也就是說，騎士可以在2013年的湖人、熱火及國王三個首輪中，選擇最
前面的那一個和他們換。

(不過我看最可能的是和國王換吧XD)

preseason Lamar Odom trade, and is protected through 20 picks for six years.

湖人送去火箭的首輪，是Odom交易案中從小牛拿到的。這選秀是小牛連續六年的
前20保證順位。

Kupchak said the Lakers did consider calling up Gerald Green from the
@DFenders, but they already had 5 small forwards.

Therefore, Mike Brown can play Sessions if he so chooses against Minnesota.
We'll talk to Brown at shootaround tomorrow morning.

Sessions is expected to spend the night in Cleveland and fly to L.A.
tomorrow. He does not need to pass a physical to play.

MB將可以使用Session上場對抗灰狼，明早投籃練習時會再和MB確認一下

Sessions預計晚間留在Cleveland, 然後隔天飛LA。Sessions不用體檢即可上場。

Jordan Hill, to Kupchak, adds depth to a front court that only had 4 players.
Ideally, a team has 5. Hill can play PF or C.

對Mitch來說，Hill增加了前場的深度，而前場最理想也是需要有五個人。

That said, Kupchak said every GM has to consider the new CBA w/more punitive
luxury tax penalties.

Kupchak: "We've payed a luxury tax for as long as I can remember. Dr. Buss
has never given me a budget."

well as he can defend 2's bc of size/strength.

Why trade the picks? LAL didn't think they could get a better player in the
20's o/t draft than Ramon Sessions.

Kupchak said it just comes w/the job. Financial considerations were certainly
a part of it, plus getting younger/more athletic.

為啥要交易掉選秀權？湖人不認為他們可以在20順位左右選到一個比Sessions好的球員嗎？
