Fifth Seed Falls at First Hurdle in Jeonju
第五種子首輪落馬
Fifth seed in the Men旧 Singles event at the Volkswagen Open Korea, Croatia旧
vastly experienced Zoran Primorac, exited proceedings at the first hurdle
early in the evening of Friday 2nd June 2006.
韓國公開賽男單第五種子，克羅埃西亞名將普里摩拉茨，稍早在2006年6月2日星期五
傍晚遭到淘汰。
He lost in six games to Chang Yen-Shu of Chinese Taipei. Chang Yen-Shu won
11-8, 11-8, 11-9, 3-11, 9-11, 15-13.
他在六局的賽事中不敵台灣選手張雁書。張雁書以11:8、11:8、11:9、3:11、9:11、
15:13獲勝。
It was a contest between players use power to gain the desired result, Zoran
Primorac, a shakehands grip player, Chang Yen-Shu, a penholder who uses one
side of the racket only.
這是一場兩強相爭的比賽，由持刀板的普里摩拉茨對上日式直拍的張雁書。
Forehand
正手攻擊
Chang Yen-Shu looked to play his strong forehand topspin stroke at every
opportunity. Zoran Primorac tried to stop him effecting that technique, the
European star being comfortable attacking from both wings.
張雁書積極尋求正手搶攻機會。兩面攻擊的普里摩拉茨則試圖阻止張雁書的正手。
Over the table, returning the service with a forehand flick, Chang Yen-Shu
was most adept whilst when the Croatian served to the backhand, the fact that
Chang Yen-Shu is a penholder meant that he could only play a push return, a
relatively passive stroke.
當普里摩拉茨發球到張雁書反手位時----張雁書身為直拍選手，意味著他只能用推擋此
一相對較被動的方式回發球----張雁書非常熟練地將球輕挑回去。
Few Problems

However, the flicked returns from Chang Yen-Shu did not cause Primorac
problems, in fact they were to his advantage. Primorac, in trademark style,
moved to the middle of the table to serve with his backhand; in fact, as the
match progressed he moved even further and served with his backhand from his
forehand court.
但是，輕挑回去的球對老普來講並不構成問題，事實上這反而對老普有利。老普施展大
絕，移到中間位置用反手位發球（註：這確實是老普的招牌發球）；事實上，隨著比賽

The reason for the tactic is to reduce the angles the opponent can achieve,
the server can cover any return with either a forehand or backhand attack and
is valuable tactic for players, like Primorac, who are powerful from both
wings. The service return from Chang Yen-Shu was often flicked long and
Primorac could then attack powerfully.
採取這項策略的理由，除了縮小對手能夠到位的角度，而兼顧對方正反手的回球外，
對於像老普這種兩面攻擊選手而言，也是非常有用的策略。張雁書挑過來的球往往過長
因而讓老普可以發力攻擊。
Topspin Rallies

In order to counter this ploy, Chang Yen-Shu had to be at his best when it
came to topspin rallies, he was in good form; thriving when rallies
developed, he eventually prevailed. 戦 was relaxed today when we played? said
Chang Yen-Shu. 戦 wasn急 expected to win, I渇 played him twice before and
lost both times but that was a long time ago, I was young, he was an
established international; I think the last time we played was seven years
ago at Brazilian Open.?br>
為了應付這項戰術，張雁書必須在進入上旋回合球時全力發揮，而他的狀態確實很好；
在來回球中越打越好，並終於取得勝利。「在今天的比賽中我非常放鬆。」張雁書表示，
「我沒有預期會獲勝，我之前跟他兩次交手都落敗，但那是很久以前的事了，那時候我還

。」
There was no recent history between the two players and previous results were
of minimal relevance. 戦 wasn急 under any pressure at all? continued Chang
Yen-Shu. 戦挙e not played on the ITTF Pro Tour recently and today I had some
luck.?Any luck was not a telling factor, Chang Yen-Shu played with an air of
freedom and he played well, very well.
兩人在近期內並沒有交手記錄，而過去的結果也沒有多少相關性。「我完全沒有壓力。」
張雁書接著表示，「最近我並沒有參加國際桌總的職業巡迴賽，而且今天我也有些好運。
」任何的運氣都不是決定性因素，張雁書在沒有壓力的情況下比賽，而且發揮得非常出色

that gave me confidence.?Chang Yen-Shu did appear confident from the start,
he nothing to lose and he was positive. 戦 concentrated on making sure that I
put the first topspin on the table? he continued. 戦 felt good playing
topspin to topspin and today he made mistakes.?br>
Chang Yen-Shu now meets Korea旧 Kim Jung Hoon who continued the good form of
one day earlier to beat Gao Ning of Singapore.
「我有一個好的開始，拿下前三局。」他繼續說道，「這的確給我帶來信心。」張雁書
確實從一開始就展現了自信，他沒有什麼好輸的，因此非常積極主動。「我非常專注於
確保搶先上手。」他繼續說道，「我感覺到在正手弧圈的對決中打得相當順手，而且
他在今天的比賽中也犯了一些錯誤。」張雁書接下來將對上在昨天擊敗新加坡選手高寧、
狀態正好的韓國選手金xx。
