在美國， “associate”跟律師(Attorney at Law)不同。
美國暑假工作的法學院學生，都是稱 ”summer associate”
Johns Day, Baker & McKenzie, Morrison & Foerster, Latham & Watkins LLP, Orrick等等，沒有一家用”summer intern”這個詞。
