Joni's new double CD is due out November 19, according to reports in various
newspapers. The New York Daily News was the first paper out of the gate with
an announcement, as far as I know; the story was quickly picked up by USA Today
and The New York Times.
The announcement in The New York Times erroneously reports that it's going
to be an album of new material -- as reported here earlier, the CDs will
contain orchestrated versions of songs from throughout Joni's career. As with
Joni's 2000 Both Sides Now CD, Vince Mendoza is on board as arranger and
conductor, with appearances by Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter.
Here's the complete song lineup for Joni's new CD. Titled A Travelogue,
it's due in stores on November 19. Here's what you can expect to hear:
