Linkin Park enthrals 25,000 fans
KUALA LUMPUR: Rock fans had a long-awaited treat yesterday when American
rap-rock band Linkin Park performed a live concert at the Merdeka Stadium here.
More than 25,000 fans from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the
Philippines, thronged the concert which started at 8.30pm.
Linkin Park performed for one and a half hours.
The vocalists, Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda, kept a close rapport with
the audience, saying things like “Malaysia Boleh” and urging the crowd to
sing along.
Some of the songs performed included the popular In the End, One Step Closer
and the current radio favourite, Faint. The band performed songs from their
two studio albums, Hybrid Theory and Meteora, and from their remixed album,
Re-Animation.
