Rafa puts down SP$7.5 for Milito

Argentina international keen on Anfield move

Liverpool last night tabled a SP$7.5m bid for the Real Zaragoza defender
Gabriel Milito as Rafael Benitez attempted to pep up his defensive options
ahead of his defence of the Champions League, which begins tonight against
Total Network Solutions.

Milito, 24, has 10 caps for Argentina and played at the recent Confederations
Cup in Germany. The centre-half has impressed in La Liga with Zaragoza since
moving to Spain from Independiente two years ago.
