Kewell requires second operation
Liverpool say winger Harry Kewell will have a second operation on the foot
injury he suffered in the World Cup.

Kewell, 27, has not played since June when he scored in Australia's 2-2 draw
with Croatia in the World Cup finals.

A Liverpool spokesman told the club's website: "A primary procedure to drain
the infection was performed in July but it will require further surgery.

Kewell returned to Sydney earlier this month for treatment on the injury
which has been diagnosed as septic arthritis, a bacterial infection in the
joints of his left foot.

He also aggravated his groin problem in last season's FA Cup final against
