DIC make Reds bid
Dubai International Capital rumoured to have made ￡400m Liverpool bid
Sky Sports News understands Dubai International Capital (DIC) has made a
￡400million bid for Liverpool.
DIC 喊價 400m
DIC, the private equity investment arm of the Dubai Government, has recently
confirmed they are in talks with current Liverpool owners George Gillett and
Tom Hicks.
However it is now understood that DIC has made a lucrative offer to the
American duo and that they expect a response by the end of Tuesday.

Hicks, though, is rumoured to be looking to buy-out partner Gillett to take
full control of the Merseyside club and he has previously denied he is
looking to sell, despite admitting to holding discussions with DIC.

Ownership battle
The battle for ownership at Liverpool has been the subject of widespread
speculation over recent months.
這個要賣掉俱樂部的消息,已經炒了好幾個月,盤據小報的版面

Gillett and Hicks are said to have suffered a breakdown in their relationship,
while the American pair also experienced a much publicised bust-up with
Anfield boss Rafa Benitez over the club's January transfer policy.

DIC were initially competing with Gillett and Hicks to assume control of
Liverpool in January 2007 before the Middle East organisation pulled out
of the running.
