Rafael Benitez questions spirit of Avram Grant's Chelsea

Rafael Benítez yesterday belittled Avram Grant's role at
Chelsea by describing Liverpool's Champions League semi-final
opponents as Roman Abramovich's team. In the first bout of
psychological sparring before tomorrow's first leg at
Anfield, the Liverpool manager claimed that Chelsea's style
of play has not developed under Grant and that they remain
wedded to the attritional football favoured by José
Mourinho, his predecessor.

拉法認為這次敲洗和利物浦的對決，基本上葛藍特的作用可以完全忽
略。他說，敲洗還是那隻阿布一手操控的球隊，他們的足球風格還是
依然承襲了九吸魔力鳥的一貫風格（魔力鳥魂！）。葛藍特的漂亮足
球，跟幸福經濟還有三萬美金一樣，都是口號，口號啦！

In contrast with the antipathy that he felt towards Mourinho,
Benítez has enjoyed cordial relations with Grant, but that
has not stopped him questioning the Israeli's contribution.
Benítez has always insisted that Abramovich's spending power
has been the main reason for success at Stamford Bridge and
Mourinho's departure has done nothing to change his mind.

雖然他跟葛藍特的關係不再像之前與魔力鳥一般的水火不容，但是開
起炮來，依然毫不嘴軟。他認為敲洗的成功主要來自於阿布的銀彈，
所以就算魔力鳥閃了，換了葛藍特，也不會改變任何事。

“There's no difference between this Chelsea and last year's
Chelsea, only in the press conferences,” Benítez said. “I
think it's more or less the same. I was watching the game at
Everton on Thursday and they were playing more or less the
same.

現在這隻敲喜跟去年那隻敲喜的唯一差別只在於賽後記者會出來講話
的時候，鏡頭要拉遠一點。拉法表示他看了他們跟太妃糖的比賽，那
種令人不酥胡的感覺，一點都沒有變。

“As I've said before, the key to them was Abramovich. In the
past I think they have built a fantastic team. You may miss
José, yes, but not me. It could be they have less spirit
than under Mourinho, you know maybe better than me. I have
enough things to do at Liverpool now.

拉法再次強調，他早就講過，阿布買下來的這隻富豪軍團很好很強大，
這是他們現在還在爭冠的關鍵。拉法說，也許全世界都在緬懷魔力鳥，
可是他一點都不想他！！他認為現在的敲喜也許比之前軟了一點，不過
他一秒鐘二十萬上下，沒有時間跟你們討論這個東西。

“But they were in the final of the Carling Cup. They are in
the semi-finals of the Champions League. They are in the race
for the title. So they have enough good players to win. We
must be really careful.”

所以，把魔力鳥換成哥吉拉，阿布大魔王建立的這隻軍團威力依然可怖。
現在他們聯賽第二，米老鼠杯差點奪冠，歐冠也來到了他們最熟悉的半決
賽大門，這就證明了，拉法是對的。

For all his comments, Benítez envies the stability that
Abramovich has brought to Chelsea, with the in-fighting at
Liverpool being brought back into focus by the prospect of
Tom Hicks, the co-owner, attending tomorrow's match, his
first this year.

不過，在一個兩黨持續惡鬥，紅衫軍持續抗爭要求領導人下台的環境，
在拉法心中，應該還是很羨慕對面那種四海昇平，每個人ｍｓｎ都放
(L)敲喜，這種齊心一志的安定。聽說今年稀客還沒去看過利物浦的球
賽，所以大家還可以裝作不知道這件事；但是他本週的出現，球員們和
拉法，顯然不能像之前一樣安心踢球。也許拉法應該考慮派Voronin和
Riise上場，希望他們兩個的射門可以讓稀客摀著鼻子滾回美國去。
