Rafa Benitez out to clear the air with Xabi Alonso over Liverpool FC future

RAFA BENITEZ will stage clear the air talks with Xabi Alonso this week, after
he scored the winning goal for Spain against South Africa.

Alonso did not assurances about his future after the Confederations Cup
third/fourth place play-off.

嫂子對他未來不確定

Asked whether his immediate future lay with Liverpool or Madrid, he said: “
That I cannot answer.”

被問到他的前途的時候，他說"我不能回答這個問題"

Benitez does not want to lose either Alonso or Javier Mascherano, but if
Alonso is keen for a Bernabeu switch – as the Spanish press are reporting –
he wants the player to publicly come out and state his intentions.

當然貝帥小馬跟嫂子都不想失去(他也說過很多次了)，但如果嫂子執意要去皇馬，他希望
嫂子能公開的出來說明他的想法

Benitez has been actively discouraging any interest in his coveted central
midfield duo and recently told Barcelona Mascherano was not for sale at any
price.

貝帥一直努力拒絕其他俱樂部對他兩個主力中場的肖想，最近才說小馬不管什麼價絕對不
賣(這裡陸聞又亂解讀，並不是對嫂子就消極)

But while he has reluctantly accepted there is little he can do to keep hold
of a player who is adamant he wants a move, he will not let both leave
Anfield.

但是他也很不情願的承認，如果球員想走，那他能做的真的很少，只能說兩個不會一起走

Striker Fernando Torres, meanwhile, has recommended three of his Spanish
compatriots to the Reds manager.

(托托真的就甘心，從頭到尾就是他的態度最明確，我們看到了下一任隊長的紅軍魂
不過這建議實在是有說跟沒說一樣，Show me the money! QQ)

Torres believes the Reds need “small players with quality” to finally wrest
the Premier League title from Manchester United – and he has recommended
David Silva, Juan Mata and David Villa as players who fit that bill.

“English football is very difficult because it’s very physical and played
at a high tempo,” Torres said. “We have a fantastic team to play against
the big teams and we are competitive.

“But maybe against those teams lower down we are not good enough. We have to
improve that and I think we can.

“We can definitely be stronger at home. We have some very good players but
maybe we need other players. I hope Liverpool will bring people like Silva,
Mata or Villa. These are small players with quality like United had with
Carlos Tevez and also with Paul Scholes.

“They are clever players and maybe they can make the difference. Yossi
Benayoun plays like these kind of players and I hope we can bring more like
that so then we have different options to play against all the sides.”
