Roy Evans believes fans can arrest Liverpool slide
After playing for and managing the Merseyside club during a distinguished
career, the 63-year-old recognises the need for supporters to help the Reds
turn things around
Former Liverpool manager Roy Evans has called for the club's fans to stay
behind their struggling side.
利物浦著名的球員及教練Roy Evans認為利物浦現在的情況需要球迷力挺。
The Reds have gained just eight points since the turn of the year and have
dropped down the Premier League to a below-par eighth - however, Evans argues
that, although their league form has been poor, their FA Cup run and League
Cup victory has given the fans a lot to shout about.
紅軍今年只拿了八分，積分榜掉到了令人很不舒服的第八位。然而，Evans認為雖然聯賽
的表現疲軟，但聯賽杯和足總盃的表現也值得球迷歡呼。
"You have to be positive," he told the club's official website. "You have to
stick together in times like this, from the players to the manager, the
backroom staff and the supporters.

"It is always a difficult time when you go through periods like this as a
manager. Especially as, being manager of a club like Liverpool, you know what
it means to the fans. They are suffering at the moment, and having a hard
time of it.

"And they have every right to be critical. That is part of being a fan. But

Current boss Kenny Dalglish has come under heavy criticism recently, despite
having ended the club's six-year trophy drought, but Evans feels that the
Scot can see where the problems lie.

"Kenny is not stupid, he knows that his team have not performed to their
capabilities of late," he observed.

"The league position is not what anyone at the club wants it to be, make no
mistake, but my message to the supporters would be to stick together, and try
to stay behind the team for the rest of the season.
"Because the team, the players, the manager, they need fans' support at times
like this."
