Liverpool have been drawn to face Middlesbrough at Anfield in the third round
of the 2014-15 Capital One Cup.
The Reds were No.13 in the draw, which took place once the second round
fixtures had concluded on Wednesday evening, and were paired with the
Championship outfit.
Five-and-a-half years have passed since the two teams last locked horns,
while the most recent fixture on home soil was a 2-1 victory in August 2008.
The third-round tie will be played in the week commencing September 22,
between Barclays Premier League clashes against West Ham United and Everton.
Liverpool have lifted the League Cup trophy on eight occasions, most recently
at Wembley in 2012.
