被英國人認養的白尾得了犬瘟,一個月前就走了
但我一直沒有被通知這件事,直到昨天寫信給他們,提醒他們要帶小狗去結紮,
收到回信時我才知道這個壞消息。
我不知道為什麼之前他們會找不到我,最有可能是手機或聯絡方式有誤
再者這隻小狗的追蹤工作又是我和毓婷一起負責,結果兩人溝通出了問題,
都以為對方有在追蹤,才造成我們最後知道這件事情。
一些細節沒有照顧好,讓大家那麼晚才得到消息,我覺得很抱歉...
底下是他們回信全文。希望白尾在天上過的很好...
Hi Shandy,
Glad to hear from you! In fact we tried to contact you a month ago with some
bad news, because Whitetail was in really bad shape. It turned out that he
was infected with virus called Distemper. The vet told us that he must have
contracted it before we got him as he had no contact with other animals while
he was with us and because of the incubation period of the disease. It was a
very traumatic time for us as he had settled in to our family very well and
we grown to love him so quickly. He died in the vets surgery, he was having
fits after collapsing in our home. The vet told us that there was very little
chance he could pull through. He died after developing symptoms for 4 days,
initially having seizures every few hours, where he would 'foam' at his
mouth, developing finally into fitting constantly and then collapsing. We
wanted to talk to you about it to warn you incase other puppies and dogs
contracted the disease while in the animal shelter. We tried to call but you
didnt answer, and because of our sadness, we have tried to put this event to
the back of our minds.
We still have the cage and will return it to you.
