1.Twins Eye Deal With Reliever Cruz
According to a report on the Web site of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune,
the Twins have made a contract offer to the right-hander
as part of a potential sign-and-trade deal with the D-backs,
Cruz's most recent team.
Any agreement would be invalidated if a
trade is not complete within 48 hours.

2.Twins Sign Crede For $2.5 Million, Plus Incentives
"Joe Crede and the Twins are scheduled to hold
a news conference to announce his signing at 3 p.m."
The Twins will sign Crede to one-year deal with a base salary of
$2.5 million with the chance to earn as much as
$7 million with appearance bonuses.
The bonuses begin once Crede reaches
250 plate appearances and tops out at
$7 million when he makes his 525th plate appearance.
