The Marlins are interested in trading for infielder Michael Young, but they
want the Rangers to absorb some of the veteran's salary, according to a
source.

Young is owed $48 million over the next three seasons.

Florida wants Texas to pay at least $30 million of what he's owed through the
2013 season.
