RANGERS HAD CONDITIONAL OFFER OUT TO VLAD

According to Jeff Fletcher of AOL Fanhouse, the Rangers had a conditional $8
million offer on the table for Vladimir Guerrero if they were able to trade
Michael Young.

For those who were wondering why the Orioles upped the ante on Vlad when it
appeared that they were only bidding against themselves, now we have our
answer. It's not known if Young's recent trade request had anything to do
with this offer from the Rangers, but the timing suggests it could have
played a factor.
