Adrian Beltre gets his 2,000th hit

BOSTON -- Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre said he didn't know how close
he was to 2,000 hits until some media folks asked him about it before the
game.

But once he got the hit he needed with a single in the sixth inning, Beltre
smiled and the Rangers made sure to get the baseball.

"It was nice to get it here," said Beltre, who played for the Red Sox in
2010. "But it was just another hit. We're trying to win games and keep
going."

Beltre becomes the 21st active player to reach 2,000 and the second Ranger to
do it in the last month. Michael Young got to the number on Aug. 7. They are
the first teammates to reach the milestone since Derek Jeter and Alex
Rodriguez did it for the Yankees in 2006.

Beltre also has a 10-game hitting streak and is batting .342 in that span.

他說他並不知道他即將達成這個里程碑，是賽前媒體訪問他時才知道的

他也表示很高興能在這個去年待的主場打出第2000支安打

但是這也就是一支安打，更重要的是贏得比賽

而在上個月Young也剛打出2000安沒多久

老大哥和吹哥是自從06年洋基的Jeter和A-Rod同隊同季打出2000安後

第一對共同完成這紀錄的隊友

在這同時，吹哥也已經連續10場敲出安打

在這段時間的打擊率高達.342
