Rays ink Joe Maddon to 3-yr extension
Marc Topkin of the Tampa Times reports that the Rays and manager Joe Maddon
have agreed to a three-year contract extension.
An official announcement is expected on Wednesday. It's hard to find a more
deserving candidate, as Maddon holds a 495-477 record over six seasons as
manager in Tampa Bay and has led the club to the postseason in three out of
the last four years. His previous deal was set to expire after the 2012
season.
