ARLINGTON, Texas -- Apparently, the injury bug is so bad around the Texas
Rangers it isn't even safe to celebrate.

Jeff Baker sprained his right thumb on Thursday when a celebratory high-five
missed the mark and bent his thumb the wrong way. Now he can't grip a bat.

遊騎兵隊的工具人Jeff Baker在昨天的比賽中與隊友擊掌慶祝時不慎扭到右手拇指，
現在甚至沒辦法握棒。

Baker, batting .317 with nine home runs and 16 RBIs, is day to day. He leads
the majors in home runs, slugging percentage and OPS against left-handers.

Baker目前列入每日觀察名單(day-to-day)，而他打左投的數據是全大聯盟最好的
                                      （vs.lefty .386/.491/1.000, 8HR, 13RBI）

The 31-year-old did not identify the teammate who gave out the high-five.

他並沒有說那位和他擊掌的隊友是誰

"The teammate was a little over-excited, for whatever reason," Baker said.
"It bent my thumb back. It is what it is. It's unfortunate. We'll deal with
it and move on."

Baker表示：「那位隊友有點太興奮了，把我的姆指向後彎了下去，就是這樣，
很不走運。我們會處理好傷然後再回到場上。」

The Rangers have eight players on the disabled list, including second baseman
Ian Kinsler and first baseman Mitch Moreland.

遊騎兵目前有8名球員躺在DL，包括了二壘手Kinsler及一壘手Moreland

"When it rains it pours," Texas general manager Jon Daniels said.

「一波未平，一波又起。」遊騎兵的GM Jon Daniels如是說。

Rangers manager Ron Washington had no comment when asked if high-fives would
be banned.

"I didn't see it, but I heard about it," Washington said. "They've been doing
[high-five hand slaps] since I've been here. He told me he felt better, so
we'll give him another day and see."

總教練Ron Washington對於被問到是否要禁止擊掌慶祝一事不表回應：
「我沒看到事情發生的經過，但倒是有聽說就是了。自我來隊上時他們就一直是以
擊掌來慶祝的了。Baker有告訴我他覺得好點了，所以我們會再給他幾天來觀察看看。」
