Earlier this week, the broadcasters in the SNY booth were discussing the oft-men
tioned Shohei Ohtani to the Mets possibility, when play-by-play announcer Gary C
ohen noted that Ohtani and his broadcast partner, Keith Hernandez, both sport (o
r sported) jersey No. 17.

Hernandez's No. 17 was retired by the Mets last year, honoring the first captain
in franchise history, and when Cohen asked if he would grant Ohtani permission
to wear his number if it helped bring the two-way superstar to New York, Hernade
z shot it down.
"Don't ask," Hernandez said.
17這背號在大都會是SNY賽評Keith Hernandez的退休背號(去年退的)
對此他也表示不會因為大谷來
就讓這背號重新給他穿
It was not a response former Mets pitcher Marcus Stroman seemed to agree with.
