去年因動Tommy John手術的紐約洋基隊被寄予厚望許久的Chamberlain這次又受傷了，
但這次的原因不是手傷，而是與兒子玩彈跳床時不慎腳踝脫臼，必須接受手術治療。
外電的消息如下：
TAMPA, Fla. -- New York Yankees relief pitcher Joba Chamberlain suffered an
open dislocation of his right ankle while playing with his son on Thursday.
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman announced the news to reporters on
Friday morning.
Chamberlain had surgery on Thursday night at St. Joseph's Hospital, and is
expected to remain in the hospital for several days.
An open dislocation is similar to a compound fracture in that it results in a
flesh wound.
There was no timetable for Chamberlain's return, but Cashman labeled it a
"significant injury." Chamberlain was already working his way back from Tommy
John surgery last June.
這次受傷跳床導致右腳踝開放性骨折，被送往醫院急救有大量出血，還好目前看來沒事
，但住院是一定要的；去年六月才剛開完手術後，目前仍在復健的他竟然出現這個烏龍
意外，就連總教練也感到不捨。
去年也有Scott Downs和小孩玩到受傷的例子，看來球員在打球之虞，還是要小心不要
出意外了。
而紅雀隊的王牌投手Chris Carpenter則是因為投球肩膀神經問題，將無限期退出比賽
，而３６歲的他曾經幫助球隊拿過０６年和去年的世界大賽冠軍，如今在本週獲知肩
膀無力是因神經刺激導致，目前暫定還不想開刀，希望最後的結果是好的。

JUPITER, Fla. (AP)—Chris Carpenter has nerve irritation that has caused
weakness in his pitching shoulder and the St. Louis Cardinals’ ace will be
sidelined indefinitely.
The Cardinals made the announcement Friday, after Carpenter was evaluated in
St. Louis this week. The team says there is no new nerve injury and the
cervical disc injury that occurred earlier in spring training is a “
non-issue.”
