It sounds like Adam Kennedy is retiring After 14 seasons in the big leagues it looks like Adam Kennedy is ready to call it quits. Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports that Kennedy hasn’t officially announced his retirement, but the 37-year-old infielder “is opening a baseball development facility in Anaheim next week.” Kennedy was the Cardinals’ first-round pick in 1997 and was traded to the Angels in the deal for Jim Edmonds in 2000. He played seven seasons as the Angels’ primary second baseman, returned to the Cardinals for two seasons, and then bounced around with four teams in his final four years. Overall he hit .272 with a .711 OPS in 1,691 games, won the ALCS MVP for bludgeoning my beloved Twins in 2002, and earned more than $20 million. Pretty solid career for a guy who never cracked an .800 OPS in a season. http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/01/02/it-sounds-like-adam-kennedy-is-retiring/ QQ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.112.250.165
