NEW YORK (TICKER) —Florida Marlins minor-league infielder Pascual Arias was
issued a 50-game suspension Tuesday for violating the league's Drug Prevention
and Treatment Program.
Arias, 20, tested positive for metabolites of Stanozolol. He was a member of
Florida's team in the Dominican Summer League.
The suspension will begin effective at the start of the 2009 season.
