The Marlins may be leaning towards keeping second baseman Dan Uggla.
Uggla, who has been a rumored trade chip for a few years now, is in
his second season of arbitration. Florida is considering not only
keeping him for the rest of this season, but bringing him back in 2011
and even discussing a contract extension over the offseason. We're not
convinced the Marlins won't still dangle Uggla to see what they might
fetch in return, but perhaps they're less likely to deal him now than
they were in the past. The Rockies and Cardinals are two teams that
have a known interest in Uggla.
