"socialism in one country." What we are dealing with is a
capitalist world system, so don't apply the mechanical "stages
of human development" to a specific country or region.

We are talking about Marxism (or more specifically, classical
Marxism), so we'd better leave aside Marx's wrong prediction
(or put it under another topic) and at least take into account
Lenin and Trotsky's theories of revolution (e.g. "the combined
and uneven development" of the backward countries), which are
none the less based on Marx's insights.
