What we are dealing with is a : capitalist world system, so don't apply the mechanical "stages : of human development" to a specific country or region. : : Marx's prediction of revolution was in the industrialized Europe. : We are talking about Marxism (or more specifically, classical : Marxism), so we'd better leave aside Marx's wrong prediction : (or put it under another topic) and at least take into account : Lenin and Trotsky's theories of revolution (e.g. "the combined : and uneven development" of the backward countries), which are : none the less based on Marx's insights. The original statement was that China is on the opposite end of Marxism. I may not call it a total opposite (the statement above wasn't made by me), however, I would agree that by taking socialist measures anywhere out of the context of the industrialized Europe of 19th century, calling anything Marxist would be a false statement. Therefore, to say that China is not in any relevant way reflecting Marxism (as in Marx's thoughts in and of itself) is a fair statement. China may be implementing what I may call "Market Stalinism", but far from classical Marxism. My definition of Marxism is simply Marx's thoughts per se.
