《德意志意識形態》與 McLellan 選輯

「但是這種意識並非一開始就是"純粹的"意識。」(《馬恩選》:81)
這句在 McLellan 選輯則譯為:
"Only now, after having considered four moments, four aspects of
 the primary historical relationships, do we find that man also
 possesses 'consciousness', but, even so, not inherent, not 'pure'
 consciousness."(2000:183)

中譯讀起來像是「不純粹的意識將發展為純粹的意識」，但看前後文
，馬—恩應該不是這個意思， McLellan 版的翻譯似乎較準確? 畢竟
這邊強調的，應該是社會條件決定意識。

爬文找不到相關討論，故而提出。另想請問中共版 / McLellan 版信
實如何?
