我想問第四題和第六題

4. Calculate the volume of the parallepiped

P={ax+by+rz|a,b,c屬於[0,1]} spanned by

x=(2,0,1,1,0) y=(0,0,2,1,2) z=(1,1,1,1,1) in R^5


6.Dente standard inner product of a b 屬於 R^n by <a,b>and <a,a>=∥a∥

S={a屬於R^n| 1=∥a∥}. Let A be a real matrix and consider the function

f(x)=<x,Ax>,x 屬於 S. Suppose a 屬於 S and there exists a positive number

δ s.t. f(a)≧f(x) for all x 屬於 S satisfying ∥x-a∥≦δ.

Can we conclude that f(a)≧f(x) for all x 屬於 S ? Prove or disprove it.

第四題我不知道多維度的體積要怎麼算。

第六題我直覺覺得是對的，但不知道從何下手，

推 robert780612:第四題令A=[x' y' z']   sqrt(det(A'A))=sqrt(51)
→ robert780612:也可以用Gram-Schmidt 求出orthogonal的向量
→ robert780612:三個向量的長度相乘也是sqrt(51)
→ hjmeric     :請問為什麼體積的定義是det(A'A)? 謝謝
