[機統] 檢定的問題

題目是

During the recent primary elections, the democratic presidential candidate
showed the following pre-election voter support in Alabama and Mississippi.

STATE       VOTERS       SURVEYED VOTERS FAVORING THE DEMO. CANDIDATE
            (總投票)     (投給民主黨的)
ALABAMA       800           440
MISSISSIPPI   600           360

We want to determine whether or not the voters favor the Democratic candidate
equally in both states.

A. What test should we perform? Provide the null and alternative hypothesis
B. Compute the test statistic, and determine the p-value.
C. At a 5% level of significance, what will be the critical values or
values? What will be your conclusion about the hypotheses proposed in part a?

要檢定兩地(A州跟M州)投給民主黨候選人的票數是否有關連?



因為在做考古題，它連兩年都有出現!!!

但是參考書的詳解卻兩次用不同解且結果不同TOT

一次是直接用常態用Z去比拒絕域  ------------> 結果:顯示民主黨得票率無差異

一次是用卡方齊一性檢定(我看不懂) ----------> 結果:顯示民主黨得票率兩州不同



雖然連三年考同一題應該不可能

不過還是想搞懂為什麼可以用不同解但結果不一樣(一樣就算了XD)

在統計中是正常的嗎?

(由於統計是自己買書讀的可能存在很多盲點)

只能請各位大大教教我了~

推 tokyo291    :用Fisher exact test作 H0:P(X=1|Y=0)=P(X=1|Y=1)
→ tokyo291    :X=1比表是投給民主黨X=0表示沒有投
→ tokyo291    :Y=0表示A州 Y=1表示M州
→ yhliu       :數字太大, 用 EXACT TEST 不實際也不必要.
→ yhliu       :胖兩群體比例之 z 檢定(雙尾), 與用卡方檢定是等價的
