Report: Matsuzaka decides on Tommy John surgery
Nikkan Sports in Japan is reporting that Daisuke Matsuzaka has elected to
have Tommy John elbow surgery and will soon inform the Red Sox.
Such surgery would end his season and possibly his career with the Red Sox
given the long rehab involved. Matsuzaka's contract expires after the 2012
season.
