Most everybody else in the NBA dislikes the month leading up to the Feb. 20
trading deadline. Some players are insecure about being rumored in trades.
Management has to make tough decisions without letting emotion or loyalty get
in the way.

Cuban said he won't have any preconceived notions about whether to make a trade

"If there's just a deal I can't pass up, I'm not going to be religious about
cap room," Cuban said. "If I could trade Dirk for Kobe, LeBron and someone
else, you'd have to consider it. When teams call about players, they all
want bargains. We don't give bargains. We try to get bargains."

That's what it boils down to: Everybody is trying to rip off somebody else in
a trade. That's why so few of them are completed.
