Dallas Mavericks
The assist totals of point guard Jason Kidd have been in decline this season
when you consider his monthly splits, but there is ample reason for fantasy
owners to make a play to acquire the veteran if the price is right. Head
coach Rick Carlisle gave Kidd a CD of the plays he's been calling and has
allowed his point guard to call the majority of the plays - a move that has
resulted in considerable offensive improvement. Over his last four games he's
dished double-digit dimes twice and averaged almost nine assists. It's still
early in this development, but fantasy owners who have an opportunity to
acquire Kidd at a discounted price shouldn't hesitate to do so.
