Dallas Mavericks' Wright gets bigger role, delivers

Antoine Wright got a text message before Tuesday's game against Sacramento.
It was from Jason Terry.
"He said, 'We need you right now. You need to play big,' " Wright said.
Wright took those words to heart.
Wright tied Josh Howard with a game-high 23 points in the Mavericks' win. It
was the first time he had scored more than 15 points in a game since late
November.
It was the most shots (8 of 14) he has taken in his last 26 games.
Don't look for many more 20-point nights. Defense remains his primary role.
Wright won't be asked to replace the 19.9 points Terry averaged before he
went down with a broken bone in his hand.
But he must give the Mavericks more than the 5.8 points he averaged heading
into Tuesday's game. The Mavericks put several plays into the offense the
last few days to get Wright the ball in the post against smaller defenders.
"I played to my strengths, and it worked out," Wright said.
