[外電] Kevin Garnett can pull even with Dirk tonight

I'm kind of addicted to basketball-reference.com's head-to-head feature.
Seems like before every Mavs game I find myself punching in an individual
matchup with that night's foe.

Had to go with Dirk and Kevin Garnett tonight.

What do you know? Dirk's squads are 15-14 against KG's teams. I'm sure that
serves as major motivational fodder for Garnett.

Garnett has actually posted better stats than Dirk when they've dueled.
That's skewed a bit by KG beating up on Dirk when he was a goofy German
rookie with a bowl cut.

Here are the key stats from the 29 career meetings:

Dirk -- 22.4 ppg, .454 FG, 8.7 rpg, 2.1 apg, 0.9 bpg, 0.7 spg

KG -- 24.2 ppg, .530 FG, 12.4 rpg, 4.9 apg, 1.4 bpg, 1.3 spg

Those records and stats don't include the Mavs' three-game sweep of the
Timberwolves in the 2002 playoffs. Dirk averaged 33.3 points and 16.7
rebounds during that series. (Yes, Dirk, the guy people mistakenly believe
disappears during the playoffs.) Garnett averaged 24 and 18 that series.
