Trial date set for woman accused in NBA robbery

DALLAS -- A woman arrested last month at Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki's
Dallas home has a July 27 date for trial on a theft warrant.
Crystal Taylor was arrested May 6 at Nowitzki's home in north Dallas. The
37-year-old defendant was indicted in September 2006 on a theft of services
charge for not paying a dentist fordental work. worth from $1,500 to
US$20,000.
The Beaumont Enterprise reports in yesterday's editions that Taylor didn't
appear in court for the trial setting. She remains in the Jefferson County
Jail with bail set at $50,000.
If convicted, Taylor could be sentenced to a state jail for up to two years.
She's also held without bail on a probation violation warrant from St.
Charles County, Mo.
Notes: Forwards Jermaine O'Neal and Yakhouba Diawara of the Miami Heat have
exercised options to remain under contract for next season.
