I believe Duncanville's own Greg Ostertag has begun lobbying effort to play
for his hometown team
Here's what Ostertag had to say to the Arizona Republic over the weekend:
"I know I can still play. It's just a matter of getting back into shape.
I can still play. I can put in 10 or 15 minutes a game, get some rebounds and
block some shots...Young teams aren't going to pick me up. A veteran team
looking for somebody to give them 10-15 minutes, go in there and bang with
other guys, that would be the team."
OK maybe I'm reading things into stuff I have been reading.
Note: The Big O is 36 and retired at the end of the 2005-2006 season from the
Utah Jazz. Recall that he donated a kidney to his ailing sister Amy Hall in
2002. And, oh yes, he is still 7-2.
