[外電] The Mavs Are About To Sign A Shooter. Guess Who?

   I just finished up a lengthy conversation with Mavs GM Donnie Nelson. It was
a wide-ranging and far-reaching talk. I'll be breaking it down as we go
throughout the day (week?). ... Suffice to say it was VERY newsy. So anyway,
I'm sifting through my notes and there's this:
   "We're working right now (as of Monday afternoon) on some
end-of-the-roster business,'' Donnie tells DallasBasketball.com. "Moving out
some things, nothing earth-shattering. Oh, also, we're working to bring in a
shooter.''

    Ready to play a Guessing-Game Parlor Game?

    Forget for a moment the "moving-out-some-things'' part of this. (I'm
working on that separately.) Let's focus on the "bringing-in-a-shooter'' part.

    A few hints.

   This "shooter'' is::
   1) "Not necessarily'' a shooting guard
   2) Could be considered "more versatile'' a player than Matt Carroll
   3) Is, it seems, presently an unrestricted FA. We're not talking trade
here, but rather vet's-minimum level money.
