[外電] Kidd tweaks foot, not considered serious

Jason Kidd sat out the last few minutes of practice after he took a bad step
onto a teammate's foot and tweaked an ankle.

Nothing serious, the Mavericks said. But there was no reason to stay on the
court after the misstep.

Kidd made the trip to Washington, where the Mavericks will play the Wizards
Friday night.

Also on the trip are Josh Howard and Tim Thomas, who continue to make steady
progress from their off-season surgeries.

Neither will suit up for the second exhibition game, but both will continue
the rehab process. There's still no target date for either to get into
preseason action, although coach Rick Carlisle has said Howard likely will
play in one or more of the later exhibitions.
