Does Lakers win prove anything to Mavs?

Jason Terry earlier in the week said nothing will be determined after
Wednesday's game against the Lakers, win or lose.

The Mavericks won 101-96, despite missing two starters in Caron Butler and
Erick Dampier.

After the game Terry said the victory confirmed to him that has elevated the
Mavs' chances of competing for the West title.

"We can run with anybody, it's built that way," Terry said. "Mark wouldn't
have made the move he made if he didn't feel like it was going to improve our
team. Like I've said, you've got veterans on this team, guys with high
confidence, high skill level, high basketball IQs and they've played in big
games before. So we're confident we can play with anybody."
